light INSTALLATIONS IFO (IDENTIFIED FLYING OBJECT) Jacques Rival (France)Battle Bridge PlaceCreated by French artist and architect Jacques Rival. GUARDIAN ANGELS Maro Avrabou & Dimitri Xenakis (Greece)Gasholder No. 8
Unexpected and surprising, these watering-lanterns will stop passers-by in their tracks. Appearing white by day, the collection of plastic watering cans will be suspended in mid air. At night, they’ll come to life, pouring out ‘water’ made of fibre optic wire on the grass below. Guardian Angels highlights the importance of nature preservation and is an indirect tribute to gardeners.
