February 23, 2013 -March 1, 2013, The Afro-American B1 Pi Omega Chapter, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity held its 62nd Annual Mardi Gras Celebration at the Baltimore Hilton on Feb 8. Continuing to offer a full weekend of activities, the Friday night “Jump Off” party boasted more than 400 guests, many arriving from out of town. By Saturday evening, more than 1,000 Omega men and their guests in costume and formal wear were fully immersed in the Mardi Gras spirit with music by Old School Production. One of the highlights of the evening was the fur raffle provided by Emage Furs. The Charm City Ques concluded the weekend festivities with a Sunday brunch. Proceeds from this premiere fundraising event went to the Pi Omega Foundation that oversees a number of the chapter’s community and scholarship programs that continue expanding to meet the ever-growing needs of the Baltimore community. On Feb. 9, nearly 250 men and women gathered at the Grand

Ballroom of the J.W. Marriott Hotel in N.W. D.C. to celebrate The Hellians’ 2013 Valentine Party. Guests enjoyed a seven course meal with wine service and listened to the smooth sounds of musicians Bobby Felder and the Blue Notes and the Double Digit Band. The Hellians, launched in 1932, is a social club comprised of members of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity.
