Our primary school is, together with the

secondary school of 1st level, part of the

Comprehensive Institute “M.L. KING” of

Castelcovati. The pupils are 404 and their age is

from 6 to 11; there are 35 teachers. The primary

school building is in the centre of Castelcovati, a

small town, situated in the Po Plain (Pianura

Padana) in the region of Lombardy. The school

is a “full time” from Monday to Friday, both

mornings and afternoons, including the lunch

break. We have a big professional kitchen and a

canteen, a gym, two computer labs (one fixed in

a room and one moving) and some rooms

devoted to manual activities.

We celebrate Easter since palm Sunday 29th March to Easter Sunday 5th April, when Godparents give a ring

cake or an Easter egg to their godchildren.

On 23rd April we celebrate The Cervantes prize of literature written in Spanish

Lindesborgsskolan is the biggest school in Tomelilla for pupils from 6-12 years old. We have 325 students at the moment. The school was built 1975 and is surrounded by big areas for activities both in summer- and wintertime. For practical reasons all students and staff are divided into three teams but it´s important that we all feel responsible for everyone’s well-being. We have also activities in which all take part, such as different themes, sport event and Lucia. Lunch is served every day for all children. It´s free and there is always an alternative dish.

Wales-Cymru

Ysgol Glanwydden is the only school in Penrhyn Bay for pupils from 4-11 years old. We have 312 pupils at the moment. The school was built in 1910 and is situated on the outskirts of the village but only 5 km from the nearest town Llandudno. The school is divided into the infants and the juniors. We start at 8.45 and close at 3.15 but there are after school clubs some days. We are predominately an English medium school but we teach our pupils a significant amount of Welsh.

Czech Republic Our school is situated in a quiet area of a housing estate near

the aqua centre Vodní svět Kolín. It was built in 1963 and

currently has 270 pupils in two pavilions. There is a large capacity

The 4th primary school in Edessa is both a morning and an all day school with 130 pupils from 6 to 12 years old. It is located at the second settlement of Edessa, at the northern entrance of the city and occupies two floors in 2 buildings. The main building was built in 1930, while the second, which houses 2 classrooms and the all day school, a multipurpose room and several utility rooms, is a modern building with all the amenities and was built 5 years ago.There is a big area for activities close by, surrounded from orchards and the area is crossed by river Edesseos who gave his name to the town.

Our project aims to combine the importance of sports, the knowledge and appreciation of arts and a healthy lifestyle with an emphasis on healthy eating. We have gone through different activities to manage our goals of promoting healthy lifestyle, obtaining from our partners new ways of learning about how we spend our free time in meaningful ways and widening our horizons.

We started with understanding where we all were as individual countries at the beginning of our two year cooperation and then evaluated the similarities and differences after two years. The precise mixture of academic learning, practical training, artistic experience and final Olympic Games in Greece brought us to:
