DescriptionHe has a white stripe on his head. He is very furry with two very black strips running down from its ears to the side of its snout. His body is a desert color. Its claws and its nose help it survive. It is 30 inches long and weighs 22 pounds . The badger is a mammal.

HabitatThe badger lives in the United States and southern Canada. It prefers plains. It lives on flat lands. It eats rodents by opening their burrows. .

Diet It mainly eats rodents. The badger uses its powerful claws to dig up its prey’s den. It eats every two hours. It eats in the morning and afternoon. Its claws help it find and eat its prey.

Life cycle

The badger lives up to 26 years. The badger has 2 to 7 young. They are nursed by their mother until they are 2 to 3 months old. The mother gives them solid food before they are weaned..
