Haiku poem
Life is a journeyFilled with many paths and roads
You decide your fate
The Basketball Dreamer pt.1
70,000 fan screaming He is as nervous as he has even been in his life
He’s shaking and gets GoosebumpsAll eyes are on him
This is his timeAll the blood, sweat, tears, were all worth it
Just for this one moment
The Basketball Dreamer pt.2His team is down by two with two seconds left
His team has possession of the ballThey inbound the ball to himHe shoots a fade away three
And….and…ITS GOOD!!
He wins the NBA championship for his teamHe is the hero
But,He flashes back to reality while alone in the gym
No fans, no other players, just himThe he kisses his ball and says to it
“We’ve got a long way to go”
Prose: confidence
• In some time ago, there was a student and his teacher. The teacher gave the student a simple problem and the student solved it. Once done, the teacher questioned the student by asking him if he was sure he had the right answer over and over again. The more the teacher asked, the less the student believed he got the right answer. Finally, the student gave up and said he didn’t know the answer. The teacher laughed and told him he had the right answer and that the lesson learned was to always have confidence in yourself no matter what you do or what anyone else says.
“Show Me Something” song rewrite
I sit and reminisce on them brothers no longer here And how I used to hit the mall and yall was always there I’ve seen my friends get in trouble with the law and yeah
That stuff cut me like I was sitting in a barber chairbecause I don’t want to see them locked behind them bars in there
And I don’t want to see them stretched out in a coffin yeahBut don’t worry about me because its almost here I’m talking about the revolution I am Paul revere
No need to cry baby please you can pause them tears Because I promise I’m going to get us out of here
Where I’m from pt.1
Where I’m FromI’m from 1709 Zimmerman court
a one story home with the most love in the world
just an only child unknowingly travelingdown an unknown road and not knowing why
I was a little butter baby aka peanutand buzzer bee at the time

Where I’m From pt.2I’m from those preschool and kindergarten days,With Mrs. Nazneen who changed my life forever
The Frequent days spent with selena from across the street,Who I have not seen since
The barbershop days at Mr A’sAnd the haircuts always hurt
But he really took care of me and the atmosphere was greatI’ve only seen him once since
The days when Thomas the tank engine,Were more than toys, but a new adventure
When brian mcknight and KCI and JOJO songs meant so muchAnd they still do
When the fisher price basketball hoop was so precious to meAnd the moments when my sister first came into my life,
And changed mine forever
Where I’m From pt.3
I’m from those days at 2913 Chambers Dr.When dreams began to stay dreams
And I began to face realityFrom those elementary school days at northlanding
My first time ever at public school, and some of the best days in my life
from those playground days on the basketball court, when what was just fun back then is now a love for the game today
the football games every Friday with my Grandfather’s sonand the times when he began to show me how to become a man
• Simba and Mufasa
Where I’m From pt.4I’m from the days with my family
The most important thing I have and ever will havethe love that is rarely told but always shown
the family reunions every yearthat I always cherish and still do
I reside in Virginia BeachWhere I have lived my whole life
But Its more than that Its about the journey from 1709 Zimmerman CT. To 2913 Chambers Dr. and the road in between
That’s where I’m from
There is no greater agony
• I feel this is mostly true because we all have those time when something has happened in life and we just want to get it out. And the more we keep it inside the more we get anxious to tell it. Also, it affects us negatively in almost every way but especially emotionally. But when we finally do let it out, we feel so much better about ourselves and the situation.
