Fellow cattlemen, We welcome your evaluation of our 2016 Lienetics Bull

sale offering. History has proven these bulls will excel in

all aspects of the industry today, and bring you a profit

in any production environment. This year I have the

confidence to say, “this is the most complete set of bulls

we have ever offered”. And arguably can provide as

much selection and value to you as any in the country.

We are certainly in a time of market variability, but for

our commercial beef producers, one thing remains con-

sistent; low input, high performance, and high quality

cattle will remain the most profitable. Lienetics bulls

are produced by females with function and performance

in an environment of minimal inputs that include early

spring and summer grass (no creep), fall and winter

residue grazing, and hay in the months of February

(minimal days), March and April. If they fail to produce

optimum progeny in this program individually on a

timely and long-term basis, they are no longer part of

the program. We feel this minimal input environment

and management practice, combined with the right type

genetics, will allow us to always meet and most likely far

exceed your expectations of your genetic purchase. As

seedstock producers, we are willing to put cattle through

hardships for your benefit.

The progressive and hardened genetics offered will in-

crease profits at all levels of production. That means

they: calve easy and are vigorous at birth, are efficient

foragers, have high growth and conversion, are sound

and structurally correct, are fertile and maternally effi-

cient, with premium udders, and will produce a heavy

and high quality carcass for the packer, retailer, and

consumer. If you are part of the total production and

profit chain, please join us, or contact us to arrange

purchases on sale day. Satisfaction Guaranteed!

Lienemann Cattle Co. Welcomes You

Sincerely,

Trevor L. Lienemann 402-560-5385

We believe in the Angus breed, our

program, in our customers, and in

our combined ability to provide the

best quality beef product available

in the world with complete con-

sumer satisfaction. We intend to fulfill that belief through

our genetics which take low input resources provided by

solar energy, and convert it to the most premium protein

product in the world, as well as the most satisfying eating

experience available to the consumer. This is achieved

through the continual improvement of our Angus genetics

through acquisitions, selection pressure for phenotype and

genotype, AI & ET technology, DNA EPD enhancement, and

our feedlot program which allows us to measure and ap-

praise actual performance, efficiency, and carcass merit of

our raised animals and those produced by our bull genetics

in our customer cattle. If you have Lienetics sired cattle to

sell, please let us know, and we will do our best to partici-

pate, own, or find additional buyers to increase your value

contribution.

When it comes to added con-

sistency in todays variable mar-

ket, we have invested additional

dollars into the bulls you are

purchasing for your benefit. This

has been done through genomic

(DNA) testing of all the bulls on the sale. Those results have

then enhanced the accuracy and value of the related EPD’s

on each bull individually to give you as the buyer a more

confident and consistent product to purchase, and related

progeny results.

“All Christians are but God’s stewards. Everything we have is on loan

from the Lord, entrusted to us for a while to use in serving Him.”

Irish is one of the most exciting young sires in the breed for spread EPDs powered by Pfizer HD 50K. His individual ratios against herd mates and a bullet proof pedigree for calving ease combined with docility and strong carcass make him an appeal-ing young sire. His productive young dam records 2 at 111 NR and 2 at 114 YR. Irish’s pedigree is backed by three generations of calving ease sires and can be used on the most popular pedi-grees in today’s herds. Irish's pedigree is unique, offering mat-ing flexibility to many heifer programs.

Moderate BW, extra performance and frame, balanced EPD's and $values, and high carcass merit make these Irish sons an easy choice for optimum Angus bulls that can complement and add value to any Beef program.

When analyzing Cedar Ridge progeny, start from the ground.

With so much discussion on feet, you’ll appreciate the excel-lent foot structure his calves exhibit.

Cedar Ridge’s progeny are known for smaller frames, ade-

quate muscle, the ability to maintain condition in tough envi-ronments, high ranking $W and daughters with excellent ud-ders.

Colorado State University PAP EPD of -1.78 would indicate a

very low score for safe use at high elevation.

moderate framed, Waylon is a proven bull that can

sire depth and fleshing ability. If you have a set of

We Pride ourselves on Genetic Performance!

All natural protein supplement for heifers, brood cows, stocker cattle and horses. SweetPro 16 protein supplement

is designed for the essential fortification of heifers, brood cow, stocker cattle and goat requirements for vitamins A, D and E plus protein, calcium, phosphorus and trace elements including selenium. Daily intake will vary depending on forage quality and nutritional needs. SweetPro blocks improve calving and clean-up. Strong-er calves pay bigger dividends. SweetPro blocks are an effective tool to improve breed-back. Organic com-plexed (chelated) minerals plus extra energy are known to improve first service conception rates. Using SweetPro blocks at weaning reduces calf weight loss by reducing weaning stress and cows consistently wean heavier, “growthy” calves without risk of dis-counts for “fat” calves.

EPDs and $Values We have the following abbreviations throughout this book with regard to EPDs and actual data. Many other perfor-mance factors exist and are available on the registry. Please look on-line or contact us.

Expected Progeny Difference (EPD), is the prediction of how future progeny of each animal are expected to perform rela-tive to the progeny of other animals listed in the database. EPDs are expressed in units of measure for the trait, plus or minus. Remember, no EPD is an absolute. All bull include genomically enhance EPD’s for improved accuracy.

$Value indexes, are multi-trait selection indexes to assist beef producers by adding simplicity to genetic selection deci-sions. $Values are reported in dollars per head. Please let us know if we can assist with additional details or understanding of these indexes as needed.

BW

Birth Weight, expressed in pounds, is a predictor of the animals ability to transmit birth weight to his progeny Compared to that of other sires.

WW

Weaning Weight, is a predictor of a sire’s ability to transmit weaning growth to his progeny compared to that of other sires.

Milk Influence of the dam, due to her milking ability, on weaning weight, expressed in pounds of calf weaned.

YW

Yearling Weight, expressed in pounds, is a predictor of a sire’s ability to transmit yearling growth to his progeny compare to other sires

MARB Expressed as a fraction of the difference USDA mar-bling score of a sire’s progeny compared to others

REA Ribeye area, expressed in square inches, and a given end point comparatively

FAT Fat thickness, expressed in inches, at a given end point

SC Expressed in centimeters, a predictor of the differ-ences in testicle size of a sires progeny comparatively

$W

In dollars per head, is the expected average differ-ence in future progeny performance for pre-weaning merit, and includes both revenue and cost adjust-ments in BW, WW, Milk, and Mature cow size

$B

In dollars per head, it is the expected average differ-ence in progeny performance for post weaning and carcass value compared to progeny of other sires

205 Day Actual weaning weight adjusted to a common num-ber of days(205) for proper comparison of individuals

CED Is expressed as a difference in the % of unassisted births of a sire when mated to first calf heifers.

$E In $/per head annually related to expected dollar savings in feed energy consumption on future daugh-ters
