The UMTS Forum recommends that the generalcompetition law framework should be used forUMTS in conjunction with the existing Europeanand national telecommunications legislation. It isunnecessary to overlay the ordinary criteria ofcompetition law with any additional rules whensufficient competition has been established inthe telecom field.
