has ever been our melancholy duty to record occurred at rweet't mill in Monroetownship at about three o'clock on Saturday last. At tbe time of the accidentthere were nitre persons employed about

the engine room. As near as we canlearn there was nearly one hundred andlorty pounds ot steam in use at tbe time
the accident, while eighty pounds wasthat was required to drive the mill tofullest capacity. From some lack of
judgment or want of experience the waterthe boiler waa allowed to get low and
while attempting to replenish it the boilerwas caused to explode which resulted in
