Liberty Life Lesotho: Retail Sales Manager Main purpose of the job: The incumbent will be responsible for developing and managing the implementation of sales and distribution strategies with a view to optimising sales and profitability objectives. To develop, maintain and expand relationships with assigned channel partners including retail affinities with the objective of delivering set retail sales targets. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement retail sales strategies to achieve profitability objectives. To proactively identify, and assist with the development of new retail distribution channels in order to grow market share. To establish and support the maintenance and enhancement of new and existing business relationships in order to increase customer and shareholder value. To ensure the end to end on-boarding of new business with the support of functional teams in order to promote contracted service level agreement standards. To develop and execute marketing support plans in order to achieve the revenue and channel strategic growth objectives. To contribute to the development of marketing collateral to suite the defined customer value propositions to improve competitive positioning and promote the Liberty brand. To recruit and maintain the required number of Direct Sales Agents in the business to generate new retail business. To initiate and implement collaboration initiatives with institutional business partners to maximize business opportunities. To support the continuous training and coaching of all contracted distribution channels including franchises and their staff on the companies’ products, procedures and technology services in order to promote product awareness and knowledge to increase compliance with contractual terms and conditions and relevant legislation. To drive the acquisition and implementation of new distribution partners to grow sales. To keep up to date with competitor information and market trends in order to identify new strategic growth opportunities and to contribute towards the development of suitable customer value propositions and the enhancement of existing products. To actively promote and participate in living the company brand values, vision and interpretation thereof in order to continuously build and maintain effective, proactive and collaborate team relationships. Minimum Requirements: Qualifications: COSC or equivalent B. Degree in a business related field Experience: At least 5 years Financial Services experience with at least two years relevant channel distribution experience at a management level. Proven track record managing sales teams and delivery.
