1) Introduction by Executive Director

Dear golfing friends

Allow me to inform you of the preparation of the 14th University Golf

Championship, which is now fully dedicated to the organizing committee. Our goal is to

organize a world-class event in the City of Liberec that we have done in the past. The

Technical University of Liberec gives us the opportunity for students to participate in the

event. As a result, we managed to create a stable organizational team, which is seen also

from the students prospective. We are dedicated to prepare an event that is not only

sport but also a cultural experience for our hosts.

At the end of February the first brief meeting took place for the volunteers.

They will be helping us organize throughout the whole event. Some of them already

have experience from the International Golf University Championship of Czech republic,

which was held last June in Liberec. In the next 3 months we plan to train students and

further enhance their knowledge in which field they will be volunteering in during the

event.

At the end of March our team from the organization committee visited the

Ypsilon Golf Resort in Liberec, where the entire tournament will take place there and

and has been certified to meet the conditions throughout the duration of the

Championships. The golf course manager assured us that the whole resort will be ready

to host such an important event like WUC is.

Finally, I would like to thank you for all your cooperation between us and your

national university sports federation. Given that we are entering the final stages of

processing all the documents needed to take your team to WUC, we ask you for a

thorough monitoring of all information provided regarding the action on our part. This

applies in particular compliance deadline for application and financial backup, but you

must remember also the documents such as Visas etc.

5) Accommodation Facilities

During the month of March 2012 the organizing committee has drawn out ways

to expand the accommodation. New official facilities for accommodation for the

participants are at the Clarion Grandhotel Zlaty Lev and hotel Praha. At these two hotels

there will be accommodated athletes, coaches, escorts, FISU Family and our VIP guests.

Distance between hotels is less than 200m. They are also very good accessible to course

Ypsilon Golf Resort, this will be more comfortable and will reduce the travel time to the

golf. It also includes dining, breakfast and dinner at the hotels´ restaurants, the food will

be served as a buffet style dinner.

Clarion Grandhotel Zlaty Lev

It was built in 1906 and opened personally by the Austrian Emperor Franz Josef

on the occasion of the Bohemian - German exhibition in Liberec. This classical 4 star

hotel with its rich history offers guests a quiet and enjoyable atmosphere in the park

Hotel Praha

It is situated in the historical part of the town next to the town hall. The hotel

provides among its many facilities high standards of accommodation in the range of

apartments, with both single and double rooms all with full service.

The café SECESE on the ground floor as well as the restaurant on the first floor

offer both Czech and International dishes of exceptional standards. There is a

restaurant, café, reception 24 hour and free internet at your disposal.

6) Transportation

Transportation during the event will be delivered by Bus Line, which provides a

comfortable and safe transportation of passengers across Europe, more than 50

coaches, minibuses and limousines.

Here you will find a small fleet performance, which will provide your

transportation.The exact bus time schedule will be received during your registration.
