Please read these simple guidelines. Not following these guidelines may bedangerous or illegal.

    Exposure to radio frequency energy

THIS DEVICE MEETS INTERNATIONALGUIDELINES FOR EXPOSURE TO RADIO

WAVESYour mobile device is a radiotransmitter and receiver. It is designedand manufactured not to exceed thelimits for exposure to radio frequency(RF) recommended by internationalguidelines (ICNIRP). These limits are

part of comprehensive guidelinesand establish permitted levels of RFenergy for the general population. The guidelines were developed byindependent scientic organisationsthrough periodic and thoroughevaluation of scientic studies. The

guidelines include a substantial safetymargin designed to assure the safetyof all persons, regardless of age andhealth.

The exposure standard formobile devices employs a unit ofmeasurement known as the SpecicAbsorption Rate, or SAR. The SAR limitstated in the international guidelines is2.0 W/kg*. Tests for SAR are conductedusing standard operating positions

with the device transmitting at itshighest certied power level in alltested frequency bands. Althoughthe SAR is determined at the highestcertied power level, the actual SARof the device while operating can bewell below the maximum value. This

is because the device is designed tooperate at multiple power levels soas to use only the power required toreach the network. In general, thecloser you are to a base station, thelower the power output of the device. Before a phone model is available for

sale to the public, compliance withthe European R&TTE directive must beshown. This directive includes as oneessential requirement the protection ofthe health and the safety for the userand any other person.

The highest SAR value for this device

when tested for use at the ear is 0.935W/kg.

This device meets RF exposureguidelines when used either in thenormal use position against the earor when positioned at least 1.5 cmaway from the body. When a carry

case, belt clip or holder is used forbody-worn operation, it should notcontain metal and should positionthe product at least 1.5 cm away fromyour body. In order to transmit datales or messages, this device requiresa quality connection to the network. In

some cases, transmission of data lesor messages may be delayed until sucha connection is available. Ensure theabove separation distance instructionsare followed until the transmission iscompleted. The highest SAR value forthis device when tested for use at the

body is 1.47 W/kg.* The SAR limit for mobile devices usedby the public is 2.0 watts/kilogram (W/kg) averaged over ten grams of bodytissue. The guidelines incorporate a

substantial margin of safety to give

additional protection for the publicand to account for any variations inmeasurements. SAR values may varydepending on national reportingrequirements and the network band.

For SAR information in other regionsplease look under product information

    at www. lgmobile.com.

    FCC SAR information

Your mobile device is also designed tomeet the requirements for exposure toradio waves established by the FederalCommunications Commission (USA)

and Industry Canada. These requirements set a SAR limitof 1.6 W/kg averaged over 1 gram oftissue. The highest SAR value reportedunder this standard during productcerti cation for use at the ear is 0.59W/kg and when properly worn on the

body is 0.63W/kg.Additionally, this device was testedfor typical body-worn operations withthe back of the phone kept 0.79 inches(2cm) between the users body and theback of the phone.
