Ever since the telecommunication were a keyissue of business, the enterprise havingnational wide branches has been trying tobuild up their own network for voice & datacommunications.Specially for voice communications, there arevarious ways to connect branches. Normallyvoice leased lines were implemented by E&M,ISDN BRI or fractional E1/T1/PRI.However, the features transparently availableto the extensions among those officesinterconnected were not as much as the usersneeded.

LG proprietary solution

LG introduces a networking solution withpowerful feature set among offices whichSTANDARDS protocol can not come up with.Actually, the main purpose of using thestandard can be described as heterogeneousnetworking among the different systems. However, there are few examples in the realfield, this is because none of themanufacturers ensures that it won’t deliverany unexpected conflict between thosesystems.

LG’s proprietary networking offers theadvanced way to talk with your branches in acost effective way, these gains are realizedthrough either IP networking or ISDN PRIgiving a transparency in a lot of featurescommonly used in office environment.

The operator in reception desk controlsand monitors the extensions even at theremote place.

“BLF monitoring” is one of the key features ofLG’s voice networking. BLF(Busy Lamp Field) is normally shown bythe indication LED on operator’s terminal formonitoring the status of extensions under asingle system.

However, the solution is different in LG’sKTS/PBX. If the master system has a specificserver, the operator is enabled to monitor allthe extensions registered in the flexiblebuttons of his terminal including even theextensions of remote branches.And the incoming calls that fail to reach thedestination will be automatically forwarded tothe operator.

DSL Services

DSL solution is definitely on the dominantposition for broadband internet services to theend-users. It is, for the time being, regardedas the most suitable solution to users of thecopper wire from the incumbent because thecost of service will be beneficial both tocarriers and to the end users.

Maintenances

Easy installation & maintenance of the bundlemust be another important issue. LDK-24 provides the web based maintenanceand initialization. It is designed open to thecarrier’s requirement such as a centralizedmaintenance giving diagnostic reports toservice center or in the way the carriers need.

Combination of ADSL router, VoIP gateway and a digital KTS

The small enterprises tend to be simple aboutservices from carriers, they can not afford tospend lots of money on service contracts withmulti-providers causing multi maintenanceservices. And for the voice communication, theirconcept still remains at the same or betterlevel of services compared with the normalkeytelephone system.

One of a new product lines of LG Electronics,LDK-24, a converged system with an optionalADSL router and LAN switch is proposedenabling VoIP service and VoDSL. And the voice part of LDK-24 has come fromthe digital technology of the otherkeytelephone systems which have beensuccessfully deployed all over the world.
