Lexar signature guidelines
Oursigna
ture
The Lexar signature represents the Lexar
identity on all our visual communication.
We want our signature to be always used
correctly and consistently.
The signature has been custom-designed
to maximize legibility, and artwork is
available in multiple sizes as well as the
acceptable colors from the Lexar color
palette. The signature consists of the
Lexar word mark, the primary graphicelement Digital Stream X, as well as
the trademark symbol. The Digital
Stream X is incorporated within the
Lexar word mark.
Word mark
The word mark consists of a custom
drawing of the word Lexar based on
the Avenir Book font.
Digital Stream X
The Digital Stream X is a series of
growing circles which forms one of the
arms of the alphabet X in Lexar. The
artwork exists as part of the signature
artwork, and the graphic stream never
exists on its own and is always used as
part of the word mark.
Shown here is the preferred version of
the Lexar signature. It is a 4- or 2-colorversion in Lexar Purple (or PMS 274) and
Lexar Red (or PMS 1797) on a white back-
ground. Size, typesetting, color palette
and spatial and proportional ratios of the
elements are predetermined and may
not be altered.
Use only approved artwork.

Clearspace
Clear space
The Lexar signature communicates most
effectively when it is not crowded by
other elements. Ideally the signature
should be staged with as much clear
space as possible, however the minimum
clear space has been specified to ensure
a clear read, prominence and clarity.
Requirements for the core identity
Always follow the minimum clearspace requirements. For measurement
purposes, a unit x has been estab-
lished. In all cases, xequals the
height of the diagonal bar in the
Digital Stream X.

Size restrictions
To communicate effectively on various
media while maintaining the integrity of
the signature, a minimum size has been
established for the Lexar signature.
The sizes have been established to
ensure the best reproduction of the
signature, and the artwork is available
in two sizes, large and small. The large
version is to be used for widths greater
than 1"/2.5cms or 72 pixels for a digital
format while the small version is to be
used for widths 1"/2.5cms or less than 73
pixels for digital format.

The two sizes maintain similar ratios
except for the size of the Data Stream
X dots and the TM symbol, which has
been altered to maintain readability even
when reduced to a minimum size. The
Lexar signature should never be reduced
to a size smaller than .5" in width.
Always ensure legibility of signature.

Permissible backgrounds
The preferred signature always prints on
a white background. Alternatively, the
preferred version of the Lexar signature
can occasionally be used on a very light
photographic background or a solid light
color. In cases where sufficient contrast
is available, the Lexar signature may be
reversed out to white. Do not use on a
busy photographic background or in
low-contrast situations.

The Lexar signature with tagline repre-
sents the Lexar identity and tagline on
our visual communication. We want
our signature with tagline to be always
used correctly and consistently in either
vertical or horizontal format.
The vertical format is preferred on pack-
aging or when horizontal space is limited.
Proportionally the tagline is smaller on
the vertical format when compared to thehorizontal format. The horizontal format
is preferred when horizontal space is
available or when the tagline needs to be
emphasized (i.e. tradeshow use).
Shown here are the preferred versions of
the Lexar signature. It is a 4- or 2-color
version in Lexar Purple (or PMS 274)
and Lexar Red (or PMS 1797) on a white
background and the tagline in Lexar
Purple. Size, typesetting, color palette
and spatial and proportional ratios of the
elements are predetermined and may
not be altered.
