Bitossi produce ceramiche fatte a mano, in continuità con la migliore tradizione ar-

tistica italiana, per tradurla in design contemporaneo.

Le ceramiche Bitossi sono realizzate Montelupo Fiorentino, in Toscana, da maestri

ceramisti su disegno di grandi progettisti; dalle preziose riedizioni storiche degli

anni 50’ disegnate da Aldo Londi , alle fantasiose creazioni di Piero Fornasetti,

attraverso l’interpretazione di Ettore Sottsass, per arrivare ai progetti recenti di Arik

Levy, Karim Rashid, Ginevra Bocini, Fabio Novembre, Ronan & Erwan Bourollec,

Luisa Bocchietto e Mario Ferrarini.

La passione per le materia ed il colore continua a riproporre una interpretazione

sempre nuova di una tecnica antica; tradizione e design all’insegna dell’eccellenza

Bitossi Ceramiche hand-makes ceramic objects, according to the best Italian

artistic tradition turned into contemporary design.

Ceramics by Bitossi are made in Montelupo Fiorentino, in Tuscany, by ceramicist

masters upon the projects of important designers; as featured in the precious

historical re-editions from the 50’s-70’s designed by Aldo Londi, or in the fanci-

ful creations by Piero Fornasetti, or as in the interpretation of Ettore Sottsass,

and more recently in the projects by Arik Levy, Karim Rashid, Ginevra Bocini,

Fabio Novembre, Ronan & Erwan Bourollec, Luisa Bocchietto e Mario Ferrarini.

The passion for material and colour constantly proposes a new interpretation

of an ancient technique; tradition and design are combined with Italian excel-

Lampalumina è una delicata lampada nata dall’interesse di Ronan e Erwan Bouroullec per l’allumina ceramica, una ceramica tec-nica di estrema sottigliezza, la cui plasmabilità e il naturale colore bianco sono stati fonte di ispirazione.Il progetto, sviluppato da Bitossi Ceramiche e Industrie Bitossi, lega la forza delle due aziende, unendo la tecnica dell’allumina ceramica e l’esperienza artigianale della ceramica artistica.La scelta di questo materiale tecnico, per un uso domestico apre la strada a sviluppi futuri.

Lampalumina is a delicate lamp that was born from the interest of Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec for ceramic alumina, a technical ceramic of extreme thinness, whose flexibility and its natural white colour were the sources for inspiration.This project developed by Bitossi Ceramiche and Industrie Bitossi binds together the forces of both companies, combining the tech-nique of ceramic alumina with with the craft skills of artistic ceramics. The choice for this technical material for a domestic use opens the path for future developments.
