Who is it for?
Level 2
West Met Skills has to give priority to applicants who are in receipt of one of the four main benefits: Job Seekers Allowance, Employment Support Allowance, Universal Credit, Income Support. Training is free for people with Right to Work in UK, proof of ID, learner or spouse must have been resident in UK/EU for last 3 years. To be eligible whilst working those living inside the Greater London Area they need to earn less than £20572.50 and for those outside they need to earn less £16009.50 to be eligible whilst working.

The HABC Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering is a qualification aimed at caterers and other food handlers. The qualification is intended for learners already working in catering and those who are preparing to work in the industry. It is also appropriate for those providing services to catering premises including pest-control operators, maintenance engineers, cleaners, and laundry and delivery personnel.
Learners gaining this qualification will know that food safety is the responsibility of everyone involved in the storage, preparation, cooking service and handling of food. Its topics are regarded by the Foods Standards Agency as being important to maintaining good practice in the production of safe food.
