Support and GuidanceThe teaching team, the different locations, beautiful seminar houses, and both urban and natural surroundings offer the perfect setting for the work we do and enjoy our time toge-ther. You will receive the guidance of the trai-ners and the support of the team. The group process will allow for an authentic learning experience.

LocationsThe program is divided into 3 weeks of 5 days and 1 week of 6 days. The first and last week of the training will take place at a newly re-novated “Het Lichthuis” in Zandvoort. For the second week we travel to Ibiza / Spain, where we will continue our work at “Yoga Lifestyle Ibiza”. And the third week will be an urban ex-perience. We’ll move between several locati-ons in Amsterdam, and meet other members of the yogi community there.

CertificationThis training is certified by KRI - Kundalini Re-search Institute (USA). After successful com-pletion of the training you receive the "Inter-national Kundalini Yoga Level 1 - Instructor" certificate.

The training The training is designed to deepen your know-ledge and experience about yoga. It will pro-vide you the theory, practice and experience needed to become a well-trained and pro-fessional teacher. Each meeting will start at 18:00pm on the arrival day, and end at 18:00 on the last day. The meeting on Ibiza will be six training days and ends on departure day at 11:00am in the morning. The third week is urban and will be offered at several locations in Amsterdam. For this week in Amsterdam you will organise your own accommodation and provide for your own diner.

We will start each day at 05:00am with a group Sadhana (daily practice). The pro-gram integrates theory, lectures, discus-sion, study groups, and of course lots of kriyas and meditations. In between there is enough time to relax and enjoy the meals. Intensive programThe intensive program is a unique opportunity to follow the Level 1 Teacher Training in the shortest time possible and at great locations. The Level 1 Amsterdam - Intensive is a pro-found experience that may be used as a guide for the rest of your life. The teaching team, the different locations in and around the city, and our yoga resort in Ibiza, will offer you the per-fect setting for this journey. Dive deep into the experience of Kundalini Yoga, and accelerate your personal and spiritual development.

Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training level 1

Lead trainer: Simrit Simrit is an independent Kundalini Yoga trainer (Level 1 and 2). Sim-rit has been a major contributor to bringing Kundalini Yoga to the Mid-dle East. She is the first Israeli Lead Trainer and lives the life of a “Kun-dalini Pilgrim” - teaching and tra-veling in Israel and in Europe. She teaches with a huge respect to the origin and with much love to originality. Simrit Kaur is a living example of someone who is fully committed and dedicated to service. She is a teacher, a leader, and holds a yogic inte-grity on all levels. She is a loving, caring and compassionate teacher with an amazing capacity to direct, guide and uplift others.

Professional trainer: Siridharma Siridharma is the founder of Yoga Lifestyle and many other yoga pro-jects. For many years his focus was to bring yoga to the “non-believers”. His work in the corporate world has been a very important contribution to the lives of many and to the cul-ture of many businesses. Sharing a space with Siri Dharma always feels like being in god’s amazing playground, where serving is a joy and a loving exchange between many realms.

Guest trainer: Karen After almost a decade of teaching yoga she moved on to the aca-demic study of yoga. She completed the MA in Traditions of Yoga and Meditation and is now pursuing a PhD in the Department of Religions and Philosophies. Karen is currently doing a research project on the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. Karen has authored the online audio-course 'The Philosophy of the Yogasutras' for wise-studies.com.

Assisting team: Tim & Marieke Tim Schipper and Marieke De Lange, founders of Kundalini Yoga School will be assisting and supporting throughout the program.

1. Registration1.1 Online registrationStudents can register by completing the online registration form. The agreement between the student and Yoga Lifestyle (YL) includes the online registration form, the study brochure and the included study conditions. Through online registration the student agrees with its contents.

1.3 Introductory meetingFor more information about the training the student can request an introductory meeting. During this meeting the student can ask questions and learn more about the training. This will help to serve the student needs before the training starts. The conversation may take place during a personal appointment or by telephone / skype.

1.4 WelcomeThe student will receive by email a confirmation, a welcome message from the lead trainer, and further details in preparation for the first meeting/ module:

practical informationBefore the first module, the student will also receive a con-tact list of all enrolled students. This can be used to ar-range transportation, and for later correspondence.

1.5 Time for reflectionAfter registration, the student has a reflection time of 14 days. If the student decides not to do the training within this time, the contract shall be dissolved and the paid training fee reimbursed.

4.1 Certificate After successfully completing the teacher training the student receives the "International Kundalini Yoga Level 1 - Instructor" certificate by KRI - Kundalini Research Institute. This course is internationally accredited by KRI and qualifies the teacher for registration as a member of the National and International Kundalini Yoga Teachers Association (IKYTA). This membership confirms the professional status and offer a teacher special support and benefits.

4.2 ConditionsStudents must fulfill the following criteria to successfully complete the training and receive certification:

Fee: Full payment of all fees.

Attendance: Students must attend a minimum of 80%. That means they are not allowed to miss more than two days. If a student cannot attend the lead trainer will indicate how to catch up the missed material. Absence of more than 80% may result in a student completing the course by attendance at a future Teacher Training program. Note: maximum length of training is 2 years from the starting date.

Hours: The course will be at least 200hrs (and additional time for exam, written course work).

• 180 hrs classroom instruction and practice [4 x 5.5 days]• 40 day meditation and yoga practice [15 – 31 minutes a

day – own time]• 12 hrs reading [see study material]• 18 sadhana / morning meditations [2.5 hrs on training

days]• Viewing of at least two video classes by Yogi Bhajan

Reading: The training manual “The Aquarian Teacher” by Yogi Bhajan. Recommended reading: other Kundalini Yoga manuals. For a complete list of books and material visit: www.satnam.eu

Additional classes: Students are required to attend a minimum of 20 Kundalini Yoga classes, either before, during, or after the training. These must be taught by a KRI certified instructor.

Examination and course assignment:• Written home exam: with open questions.• Written class exam: with open questions en multiple

choice. • Practical exam: teach an observed yoga class.• Written assignments:

- create a 10 classes course curriculum. - create a weekend retreat curriculum.- write a kriya analysis.- write a dairy summery.

4.3 Evaluation of the student:The final evaluation of the student for completion of the training will be based on completion of the above criteria as well as the general evaluation of:

• The student’s involvement with the training [including leading yoga sessions during the training]

• Their general grasp of the practical material• Commitment to the “3HO Code of Professional Standards

for Kundalini Yoga Teachers”.• Satisfactory completion of exam and course work [see 4.2

Examination and course assignment]

4.4 Evaluation of tutors: The student is required to complete a brief confidential evaluation form for each of the KRI tutors on the course. These will be submitted to the head office of KRI.

4.5 Retake: A student who fails the class exam does not have to retake it but needs to submit the home exam.

4.6 Questions and advice:The student has the right to ask for free advice regarding the study. During the training days advice can be sought at any time from the student contact person or teachers present.

4.7 Monitoring:Examinations are stored and supervised by KRI. KRI can perform a random check up. If the student disagrees with the outcome of the exam, the student can request KRI to re-evaluate. This result is binding.

5.1 Care and medical adviceWe invite the student to practice yoga with enthusiasm. However, we recommend careful consideration to the implementation of the exercises during the training offered. If the student doubts whether yoga is recommended for certain injuries or conditions, we suggest them to consult a doctor or therapist. The instructions and guidance offered during the training are not intended to replace professional medical and psychological care. There are certain restrictions on the practice of yoga for pregnant and menstruating women. As a student, you're supposed to be aware of these restrictions. The student can find information about this in the study materials or can be informed by the teacher.

5.2 Liability Registration means that the student agrees to assume full responsibility and release all others from any liability for any injury or damage to persons or property directly or indirectly the result of the training. Organizers, teachers and staff are not responsible for any injury or damage to persons or property.

6.1 DepositThe deposit of 500 euro for registration is non-refundable.

6.2 ForeclosureIf the student is temporarily unable to follow the training days, the training or payments for the training will not stop. Not attending training days needs to be reported at the latest 10 days before those training days. Together with the teacher we can examine how the missed material can be made up. Missed days can be attended in the next year’s training. The student pays just the cost of accommodation and meals. There is no refund of tuition for missed day.

6.3 TerminationIf the student wants to stop the training without the inten-tion of finishing the training within the following year the program can be terminated prematurely. Denunciation shall be effected by a registered letter to be received at the latest 10 days before the start of next training day. The student is entitled to 50% refund for the remaining days of training. At termination, the student will be charged 350 euro for additional organizational and administration costs.

6.4 Special casesIn special cases where the student terminates the course early, such as when there is an inability situation, YL will see what agreement for both parties is a fair solution. 6.5 Termination of agreementThe mutual rights and obligations arising from the agree-ment end once the agreement is terminated and the fee or refund is paid.

7. Late payments7.1 Late paymentsIf payments are over 8 days late, the student will be ad-dressed and the amount can be increased with an admi-nistration fee. With a late payment of two months or more YL is entitled to terminate the student’s participation in the training, until payments have been done in full. Obligation for payment of the full training fee remains.

7.2 collectionIf a collection agency needs to be hired to recover the tuition, the money owed will be increased by 10%, with a minimum of 35 euro - collection fee. After payment of the debt, the training agreement can be restarted.

7.3 Debtors administrationThe debtors administration will be executed by the YL ac-countant:Le Bourdon B.V.Cees de Hommel

YL does everything in its power to avoid errors in brochu-res, ads and lessons. YL cannot accept liability for any er-rors. The copyright of all training materials produced by YL belongs to YL. It is not permitted to copy or use training materials, promotional materials, website text, illustrati-ons, photo materials, brochures, study conditions, etc. for any other purposes than use within this training without prior consent.

9. Moving training datesYL has the right to change any training dates. In case of insufficient registrations YL maintains the right to cancel or postpone the training. Upon agreement the paid course fees can be refunded to the student. Students will be informed latest two weeks before the training starts.

10. Privacy policyThe student provides personal information. YL uses this data to keep students informed about the training and relevant offers from YL. The student can object in written form. Our privacy policy can be found at our website: www.lifestylestudio.nl.

11. Complaints and disputesYL is committed to provide the best possible training and support. If a student has a complaint, an email can be sent to the customer service of YL. The email address is: www.lifestylestudio.nl. All complaints and disputes are registered and supervised. If YL and the student do not come to an agreement, a complaint can be filed to the Complaints Committee of KRI. The outcome of KRI is binding. The student will receive a response within 2

weeks. Within 4 weeks the complaint will be handled. If the complaint cannot be handled within 4 weeks, the student will receive a proposal and term.

12. Feedback and suggestionsYL encourages the student to give feedback, share ideas and suggestions. The input of the student will be deployed to improve the method and curriculum, and as much as possible aligned with the wishes of the student. The first alignment already takes place during the introductory meeting.
