Up until two years ago, I worked with Jeff at the Salt River Police Department as his immediate supervisor. This was when Jeff was assigned to the Criminal Investigations Unit, prior to his re-assignment to the Professional Standards Unit. During that time, Jeff consistently worked hard, tackling all assignments with dedication. Besides being a good officer, Jeff was loyal and a take-charge person. He presented creative ideas and provided solutions and ways to implement his suggestions. He successfully developed and maintained several investigative protocols for the Salt River Police Department, which resulted in the increase of tribal prosecutions. Also, due to Jeff’s efforts, the Criminal Investigation Unit was able to stream line extraditions of state side warrants, improve interagency relations with neighboring Law Enforcement agencies and resources. Jeff was also extraordinarily helpful in other areas of the Salt River Police Department and Community. In addition to having the ability to writing effective reports and possessing excellent communication skills, Jeff assumed a leadership role in protecting fellow Police Officers. Jeff achieved this by contacting other law enforcement agencies, learned their policies and procedures and utilizing what was needed to help develop the Salt River Police Officer Association; that currently protects the rights and provides due diligent to Police Officers at Salt River Police Department.
