I am enclosing further information about the post and an application form which should be returned to me with a letter of application and curriculum vitae by 12 noon on the closing date Thursday 14 October 2010. Your letter should make clear that you have considered the relevance of your skills, abilities and experience to this post, and what your priorities would be if you were to be appointed. You should also make reference to the requirements of the person specification. This is an important appointment for the College. The successful candidate will be joining us following a year in which the College achieved excellent results at GCSE. The College has been oversubscribed for many years. The College has a unique identity and ethos, with an exceptionally diverse student body in a city girls' comprehensive setting. We believe that our current success is based on staff initiative, effort and teamwork. Our students were commended by OFSTED for the quality of their response and the harmonious atmosphere to which they contribute. We are committed to the further improvement of our work and have clear and ambitious plans for the future, which continue to place the College at the heart of the community. I am aware of the time involved in applying for posts, but I regret that if you have not heard from us by 2 November, you should assume that you have been unsuccessful on this occasion. Yours sincerely Alison Merrills Principal Encs
