For the Teacher

Practise tunes without accompaniment first

Pupils must listen carefully to accompaniment and know when to start playing

No key signatures are indicated throughout the music

Each bar has a 2 bar introduction

Tracks 1 to 28 all tunes are repeated with a 4 bar interlude and only

accompaniment second time

Try performing these tunes in the classroom using any tuned instruments

For the Pupil

We hope you enjoy playing these tunes. It may be fun to rename the tunes and

make them your own

Progress will be rapid and you will be surprised how well you can perform

Remember the magic word for Recorder / Tin Whistle playing is BREATHE not

BLOW

The above tune has been arranged for 2 parts. The black line is the main melody and should have the

greater number of players. The red line is an accompaniment for more advanced players and includes 2

new notes, C and D, (fingering for these notes can be found on page 21). This red line could be played

on any tuned percussion instrument e.g. chime bars.
