Business Credibility Increase your business’ credibility through you affiliation with the business and professional members of the Chamber.
Online Directory The Chamber web site gives your business a presence on the internet. Our online directory generates over 6,000 referrals for our members each month. Create your own interactive member page; offer coupons/discounts to public and/or members; and post jobs and events!
Business Directory Stay in front of chamber members, business owners, non-profit directors, and government officials of the business community with our annual publication. Members get three listings.
Referrals As a chamber, we are loyal to our members - referring only our members and doing business with members only.
Networking and Relationship Building Business is about relationships. Membership in the Chamber provides opportunity to meet other members through our events. Visit our website for events throughout the year.
Visibility & Marketing Opportunities By joining the Chamber, you open a door to several marketing opportunities: advertising options in Chamber publications, sponsorship arrangements with the Chamber for major events, etc. Chamber members are also welcome to display marketing materials at the Chamber office.
Education & Training The Chamber is committed to offering education seminars focused on professional development, business growth and operational efficiency. We provide local employers and professionals with various learning opportunities aimed at enhancing skills, adding more value, increasing productivity and improving overall morale.
Business Awards & Recognition Each year the Chamber honors excellence in business and the community at an annual awards ceremony. Members gain recognition in the newsletter, online directory, business directory, through ribbon cuttings and sponsorships.
Insert Mailing Program Keep your fellow Chamber members informed about products, services or news your business has to offer and share and stay in the know about Chamber programs and events. Six mailings are scheduled throughout the year on the first Friday of every other month starting in January. Save substantially on envelopes, processing and postage.
Workforce Development Aligning educational systems with area business and industry decade is critical to Halifax County’s future. The Chamber works to provide direction and support for the future employees.

Leadership Halifax County Leadership Halifax allows current and future leaders the opportunity to learn about virtually every aspect of Halifax County. The program is designed to develop leadership skills and promote volunteerism in the community. Leadership Halifax County covers topics such as government, economic development, human services, and education.
Involvement Get involved. Involvement increases business contact, creates an atmosphere for business development and growth and proceeds opportunities to make decisions that will influence community concerns. The Chamber has a wide variety of opportunity to get involved and will certainly suit the interest of any member. Bring your experience and knowledge to help strengthen the Chamber’s membership while developing valuable business contacts.
Advocacy Committees and staff follow local, state and federal legislation which as an effect on business and our community. Meetings are held with state legislators and our congressmen on a regular basis. Join Halifax Forward, the ‘voice for positive progress,’ which is comprised of owners and managers of Chamber member businesses. As the advocacy arm of the Chamber, this group keeps a finger on the pulse of actives locally and advocated for pro-business issues.
Business Assistance Perhaps the most compelling reason to join the Chamber is the benefit of tapping into the knowledge of your fellow members and the Chamber staff. Together, they serve as an extension of your own staff. With Chamber membership, you gain greater access to corporate CEO’s, community leaders and government officials. You feel the pulse of the business community.
Small Business Support More than 80% of the Chamber’s membership is comprised of small business. The Chamber works to take care of small business through seminars, workshops, chamber checks and much more!

Chamber Membership is tax-deductible as a legitimate business expense, not as a contribution or donation.
This application will be submitted to the Board of Directors at the next regularly scheduled meeting. Membership will be approved if applicant meets the criteria. If membership is denied, applicant may re-apply either by invitation of the Board of Directors or at the end of 12 months.
The Chamber reserves the right to approve or reject any membership application within reasonable opinion whose purpose runs counter to the purpose of the Chamber. Each membership application is reviewed and approved or rejected on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the Board of Directors. Membership is not automatic.
