Job Profile

The job holder would report to the Manager Legal and shall be responsible for the effective and efficient management of the Legal department.

Key Responsibilities

� Assist and support Manager - Legal in day-to-day commercial and contractual issues.

� Advice on the contract terms, contractual rights and obligations of the Lender.

� Draft and attest legal documents, contracts, agreements and internal policies and ensure that they are in compliance with all statutory or legal requirements.

� Appear in Magistrate/ District/ High Courts for company matters in Colombo and provinces.

� Visit branches when necessary.

Experience and Qualifications

� Attorney at law with minimum five years of post-qualification legal experience preferably in a Bank or Financial Institution.

� High degree of communication and leadership skills.

� Ability to view legal matters from a business perspective.

� Ability to manage multiple priorities, work efficiently under pressure and consistently meet tight deadlines.

� Age between 30 - 45 years.

Remuneration

The remuneration package is negotiable and would be in line with the applicant’s experience and qualifications.
