Music mapping is a great way to introduce young students to melody, rhythmic duration, contour,and simple melodic intervals such as skips, steps, leaps, and repeated notes.

Suggestions for approaching this song: have students analyze the song, sing it, move to the contour, learn about phrasing, vocal intonation, play an accompaniment as well as singing it in a round.

Cut the map apart and use as a puzzle for problem solving. The more times the students interact with theMusic the faster they will learn the song in addition to singing it.
