I have asked her to work alongside Eveline who is an ESL student, who sometimes requires extra support in her written work. She will be also be supporting Ali by keeping him focused on the tasks and give general group support to students if they need help, when I am helping others. There are 5 ESL students, who sometimes need extra support with spelling and grammar. Eveliene sometimes shies away from participating, and answering questions, I will aim to involve her in the discussions and get to work with the more vocal students so they can feed off each other.

get to work with the more vocal students so they can feed off each other. I will aim to keep Reece, Kaainat, Sabrina on task and focused as they often display off task behaviour, e.g talking over

others. I will do this by keeping them engaged in the discussions and activities. I will challenge Mona-Lisa and Alexandra further too critically think and analyse the topic, as they have shown clear

understanding of the subject knowledge. I will try to engage all the learners to think critically to enhance their learning and understanding

Introduce the session with the topic and read the learning objectives, ask students where they position themselves on the progress bridge.

Ask students if they have completed the homework task. Discuss as a class to jog their memory of last week session. Ask students to complete the Fill in the gap sheet on their own. Then pass their work to their peers to mark.

Explain the Marxist theory; draw comparisons to the Functionalist theory. Ask students to define what the terminology means.

Explain what Marxist refers to as a Capitalist society. Allow students to participate in discussion through asking questions.

Explain how Marxist argues that Capitalists use Ideology to justify the social and economic Inequality.

Students will listen to the session objective, note where they stand on the progress bridge in regards to the topic. If students have any awareness of the topic they can share their thoughts in the class

Students will discuss what they covered last week. They will complete the fill in the gap sheet. I will ensure that Reece is focused as he can get distracted with Kaainat and disturb other learners. I will ask the learning support to assist Eveline and Ali if they require extra support in this activity. Not all students were present last week but I will ask them to have a go at the task.

Students will listen and make notes if they wish, however PowerPoint will be available to access on Moodle. Students will explain what they think some of the key terms means.

Explain how Marxist stated that to end this ideology there needed to be a revolution. Play The Internationale

song and hand students the lyrics.

Assign students in to small groups to discuss how far they agree with Marxist view of society and discuss how the theory can be criticised.

Explain some of the criticisms of the Marxist theory. Assign the home work task, this links to their assignment learning outcome.

Ask students where they would place themselves on the progress bridge. They need to write one thing they learnt in the session and one thing they did not and post it on the door on their way out for break.

Students will listen to the Internationale song and read the lyrics in pairs and try to understand what they mean.

Students will discuss how far they agree with the theory and how it can be criticised. Share they thoughts as a whole class

Students will listen to the criticisms and give their input, write down the homework task needs to be completed for next week.

Students will share where they would place themselves on the progress bridge, complete the plenary activity ask any questions if they wish and leave for break
