Set Induction

(5 minutes)

0900-0905

Properties of

liquid.

Teacher shows a jug of syrup on the

table.

Teacher questions:

1. What does the jug contained?

2. What states of matter is the syrup?

3. Why did you said that the syrup is a

liquid?

Teacher state the topic of the lesson’s

today. “The properties of liquid”.

Three properties of

liquid.

Teacher asks pupils to form groups.

Teacher distributes a jug of syrup, a

beaker, a bottle and a cylinder for each

group.

Teacher asks pupils to pour the syrup

into the materials given and draw the

shape of the liquid they have seen in

the worksheet given. (Appendix B)

Teacher asks pupils to weigh the syrupin the beaker and record their findings

in the worksheet given.(Appendix B)

Teacher asks pupils to measure the

volumes of syrup by using syringe and

record their findings in the worksheet

given.

Then, teacher asks pupils to pour out

the syrup in the syringe into the

cylinder, take the reading of volume

and then into the beaker and record the

volume of liquid in the

beaker.(Appendix B)

Teacher discuss with pupils about their

findings.Application
