1.1.4 Able to talk about a stimulus with guidance.
Objectives: By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:
a. Talk about a picture b. Pronounce words which contain the phonemes /th/

1. Teacher shows a picture and asks questions concerning the picture.
2. Teacher shows the picture cards to the pupils and asks them to name the picture with phonemes /th/

While listening and speaking

3. Teacher shows word cards with phonemes /th/ and read the words.
4. Teacher gets the pupils to repeat the words with the phonemes /th/.
5. Teacher asks pupil to pick the word card randomly and say aloud the word. Other pupils repeat.
6. Teacher show picture cards and pupils say the picture and pick the word that match the picture.
7. Teacher tells the story “The Tiny Thimbles”.
8. Teacher asks pupils to predict what happen to the cloth at the end.
9. Teacher drills on pronunciation and spelling of /th/ words.

Once there was a girl. She made cloth bags. She sold them at the market.
“Please buy a bag.”
“No, thank you.”
“Please buy a bag”.
“I have no money. I only have this tiny thimble.”
“Here is a cloth bag.”
“Thank you, little girl.”
Then she walked home. She held the thimble in her hand. At home, she showed it to her mother with joy.
“Mother, here is a thimble. An old woman gave me this thimble.”
She put the thimble on her mother’s finger. Then, her mother began to sew. When the thimble touched the cloth……
