Class : 4C Date : 25/10/10 Day : Tuesday Form 4 Theme : Environment Level : Intermediate Chapter 8: Caring for the environment Duration : 40 min Time : 2.00-2.40pm Lesson Summary Teacher writes the word ‘’pollution’’ on the board and asks students to brainstorm types of pollution and the effects of pollution towards our environment. Teacher shows them a newspaper about the oil- spilled incident at the Gulf of Mexico and asks them their opinion about the effect of the incident towards nature. Teacher will give them a text about pollution and ask them to read silently. After they read the text, teacher shows them types of preposition being used in the text and asks them to circle or highlight the prepositions. Teacher asks the students to sit in groups. Teacher gives each group a picture about different types of pollution and asks them to form 8 sentences about the picture with correct prepositions. After that, teacher assigns the students to write a letter to complaint about polluted river around their neighborhood around 200 words.
