Equality and Diversity in TV and Film• What is equality and diversity?

• Equality refers to treating people equally

• Diversity relates to the varied abilities, backgrounds and cultures in people.

• Equality and diversity together means that we take into account peoples differences in order to treat people equally.

• For instance a disabled athlete might have adjustments made to equipment to them to compete equally with able bodied people.

• How can we ensure equality and diversity in the TV and film industry?
