SPIRITUAL ANATOMY OF A CHRISTIAN”

1. Man was a unique creation of God, set apart from the rest of His

creation. Man alone was given a “spirit”, through which he can know God.

Then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.

Spirit - God awareness. We interact with God through our spirit.

Soul - Self Awareness. Personality, reasoning, emotion, mind, will, etc.

Body - world awareness. We interact soul with the physical world through our body senses. 1 Thess. 5:23

2. The entire animal kingdom is limited in scope, without a “spirit”, and thus without an awareness of God.

ANIMALS No awareness of, or interaction with God.

Soul - Varying degrees of instinctive personality, emotions, mind, will, etc.

Body - world awareness. They interact with the physical world through their body senses.
