• GIF = Short for Graphics Interchange Format.

• JPG= Short for Joint Photographic Experts Group, the original name of the committee that wrote the standard.

• PNG = Portable Network Graphics (not supported by all browsers)

• Very low resolution files for your website

• Transparency

• Limited to 256 colors

• Support animation

JPG

• can be relatively small in size

• They look crisp and beautiful

• support up to 16.7 million colors

• flexible images without large loading times

PNG

• PNG files are lossless, which means that they do not lose quality during editing

• PNG files tend to be larger than jpegs

• PNG files do not support animation

• PNG files were developed to build upon the purpose of gifs.

Which one should I use?

• For most ecommerce situations - JPEGs will be your best bet. They provide the best quality and the smallest file size.

• Never use GIFs for large product images. The file size will be very large and there is no good way to reduce it. Use GIFs for thumbnails and decorative images.

• PNGs can be a good alternative to both JPEGs and GIFS. If you are only able to get product photos in PNG format, try using PNG-8 over PNG-24. PNGs excel at simple decorative images because of their extremely small file size.

To quickly embed a YouTube video, simply copy the video’s URL from yourweb browser’s address bar

Paste it on a line by itself in your post/page editor (make sure that it isnot hyperlinked): while viewing the video:

To customize the video’s size and settings, use a shortcode. You can do this by copying the video URL:

Then create a shortcode using the format below. Be sure to replace the URL listed here with the URL of your video, and the code is on a line by itself.
