Option 1:

West Jefferson High School should start at 9:20 and end at 5:20. Research conducted by Professor Roland G. Fryer of Harvard University found that the brains of high school students perform at higher levels after 9am. This is because the natural sleep cycle of a high school student is from around 11pm or 12am to 7:30am or 8am. Forcing students to start class before their bodies should be waking up is ineffective for learning, and thus a waste of time. Students would be happier and more open to increasing knowledge if school started two hours later, allowing the school day to match the sleep cycles of students

Option 2:

West Jefferson High School should start later. I read somewhere that students like going to sleep late, so they would probably learn more if they could just sleep in later, too. This is because their brains would be more awake and able to process information better. West Jefferson High School should start later.
