The most impressive thing about Martin Luther King Jr is how he ended segregation. Segregation is the

separation between the white people and the colored people. Colored people could not even go to the same school or

even drink from the same water fountain. He ended segregation by

peaceful protesting.

Peaceful protesting is when you try to achieve your goals or get people to understand your views or ideas in a calm way,

non-violent way.

Rosa parks refused to give up her seat on the bus to a white man so she got arrested after that he started to boycott the

bus.

MEANING OF PEACEFUL PROTESTING

The most interesting research we found was about civil rights. Martin Luther King got involved in the civil

rights. The civil rights are the rights of all people. For example, African American people should be able to sit wherever they want to and go to the same schools, and

have the same education as all other people.Martin Luther King wrote a speech called “I Have a

Dream”. He is famous for this speech. Also Martin got the nobel peace prize by for his efforts and leadership

in trying to end segregation. The speech and his kindness and leadership also helped him get the prize.

RESEARCHING MARTIN LUTHER KING

Dr. King is valued in our culture because he thought that everyone should be treated equally and fought for this right for all

people. He helped organize the Montgomery bus boycott to protest segregation on buses. Dr. king and others got together and decided

to fight for equal rights in a peaceful nonviolent way. Also Martin Luther King

organized the famous march on Washington dc.
