Les Petits Chanteurs de Laval has more than 300
boys and girls divided into three choirs: Les Petits
Chanteurs de Laval (PCL), a choir of a hundred young
boys ages 8 to 17 years, Les Voix Boréales (VB) a
chorus of more than a hundred girls aged 9 to 17 and
Le Choeur des Jeunes de Laval (CJL), a mixed choir
of fifty young persons from 17 to 23 years, made up
exclusively of graduate singers of Les Petits
Chanteurs de Laval and Les Voix Boréales.
Each season, our choirs participate in four concerts
produced by our organization. These concerts are
presented in large halls and churches in Laval and
Montreal. In addition to training, music tours
(International and North American) are available
annually to singers from 6th Grade. The latter also
participate in a mandatory one-week music camp in
the middle of August.
Since 2005, the three choirs sing under the musical
and artistic direction of Philippe Ostiguy. Under his leadership, the choirs have recorded five albums.

Le Choeur de l'Art Neuf, whose artistic director
Pierre Barrette is a recognized leader in the Montreal choral milieu, attaches great importance to the a cappella repertoire. It is
strong in the sacred music of the great masters as well as in the works of contemporary
composers.
L'Art Neuf considers it an honour as well as a duty to perform the exceptional works of Quebec composers such as Enrico O Dastous, Pierre
Issid and Marie Bernard. It does not hesitate to bring in young local musicians to encourage
continuity. Its involvement with community organizations gives it a special place in the cultural milieu. Vibrant and emotional
interpretations of a cappella works marks l'Art Neuf as one of the best known choirs in
Montreal.

The Vidlunnya Choir is a Ukrainian group
founded under the auspices of the Association of
Young Ukrainians of Montreal. Since 1994 the
Vidlunnya Choir has been a centre of Ukrainian
musical life in Montreal. The Choir mainly
presents Ukrainian choral compositions,
Ukrainian folk music, liturgical and religious
pieces as well as Christmas carols in Ukrainian.
Their repertoire also includes works presented in
their original language: French, English,
German, Italian and Latin.
The unfailing participant of many Ukrainian
community concerts, Vidlunnya also collaborates
with other groups in Montreal outside of the
Ukrainian community to promote Ukrainian
choral and vocal music.

It all began in August 1973, when Louis-Pierre Chatelle (1973 to 1984) started the parish choir
of Notre-Dame de l'Assomption in Blainville. The first objective was the animation of religious
services. From the beginning, the choir had a popular repertoire for visiting hospitals or special residences. This last objective soon became its
mission. We are proud to say that from the beginning the choir has continued to offer
concerts every year in various CHSLD and seniors' residences.
In 1979, the choir became the Ensemble vocal Alternatim and the Ville de Ste-Thérese made
the choir an important part of its cultural life. The choir directed by Mathieu Bourret and accompanied on the piano by Gérard Parent has
about sixty singers.
Every year, the choir gives six to eight
Christmas concerts in December. Sometimes, the choir joins with other cultural groups in a
variety of performances.

Formed by former members of the Choeur de la Terre who wished to continue their activities,
Vox Terra was created in Saint-Bruno in 2006 with Daniel G. Hébert as musical director. After inspiring the group with his particular colour,
Daniel has left musical direction to concentrate on musical creation. Since September 2014,
Sonia Lussier, with her strong choral and musical experience, has directed the thirty
voices of the choir.

Founded in 2007 by Danielle Lavoie, Jean-Pierre Brunet and Alain Vadeboncoeur, the
Ensemble Da Capo (choir and orchestra) is an organization for the promotion of the arts linked to history and spirituality.
The presentation of spiritual concerts is the principal activity of the Ensemble. The addition of the reading of spiritual texts and the use of other art forms such as dance,
theatre, mime and photography give an original character to the musical presentations.
The central point that links all the presentations is the religious works of the baroque
composer Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750). The concerts present the cantatas of this eminent musician in time with the liturgical calendar, that is the cantatas are presented, as
much as possible, on the liturgical feast for which they were created.
