Tintin
Tintin was created by Hergé, a Belgian
illustrator.
The first Tintin book was called “Tintin
au Pays des Soviets” and was issued in
January 1929.
Today Tintin is popular around the
world and has been translated into
many languages including English.
Asterix
Asterix was created by René Goscinny
(stories) and Albert Uderzo
(illustrations).
The first book appeared in 1959.
The 33 books have been translated
into more than 100 different
languages.

Saint Ogan.
Zig and Puce, the thin and

are two teenagers who have
exotic adventures. On an
expedition to the North Pole
they meet their pet penguin,
Alfred.
Les Aventures de Tintin is a series created by the Belgian artist
Georges Rémi (1907–1983), who wrote under the pen name of
Hergé. They first appeared in 1929 and there are now 24
albums of stories. Tintin is one of the most successful series of
comic books ever.

written in 2020 (there are 38 books so far). Astérix is probably
the most successful comic series of all time, with 10 animated

France – over 1.8 million
books are sold every year,
and is the greatest
moneymaker in the French
market.
