Happy Children’s Day

• November 14th is celebrated as Children’s Day in India.

• The first Prime Minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru, was affectionately known as Chacha Nehru (Uncle Nehru) because of his love of children.

Beginner rules

• Form teams of two• Depending upon the size of field available

define a goal at the end of the field.• Each team of two is given a mug each and one

lemon.• There is a starting line and both players line up

at this line.

• One player puts the lemon in his mug and the second player stands at a distance

• The first player uses the mug to toss the lemon to the second player

• The second player has to catch it with his or her mug.

• If the second player drops the lemon, it is a foul and one foul toss is added to the team score (like golf)

• The second player then tosses the lemon to the first player at distance closer to the goal.

• This continues until they reach the goal with the final toss.

• The objective of the sport is to use as few tosses of the lemon from the mugs as possible to reach the goal.

• Each team takes turns for see who can reach the goal with the fewest tosses of the lemon from their mugs.

Advanced rules

• Two goals are defined at each end of the field

• The two teams toss a coin to determine who will start.

• The first team then starts at their end and begins to progress the lemon.

• The second team may try to intercept the lemon. The rule is that at the start of the toss, no member of the second team is within six feet of any of the other team members. This is to prevent interference.

• Within a certain time, whichever team makes the most goals - wins
