Poly Pharmacy first made contact with Leicester College last year when the new business was looking for a member of staff to join their team.

Aliya Ahmad, pharmacist from Poly Pharmacy, said “Although our partnership is relatively new, we are very impressed with our relationship with Leicester College. We took on our first apprentice Amy last year and we are already seeing the benefits for both the company and Amy. The course is very flexible and she has fantastic support from her assessors.

Amy added: “The apprenticeship route is great for me as I am paid and trained at the same time which is an added bonus. It is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the health sector. I enjoy my job and I already feel like I am part of the team.’’
