Leibniz Universität Hannover The 9 faculties of Leibniz Universität Hannover offer more than 150 degrees to its approx. 27,000 students. Examples are: Life Sciences, Systems Design, Biomedicine, and Production and Logistics. These studies are offered by a few number of German universities only. Further information about the Leibniz Universität Hannover can be found at: www.uni-hannover.de Internationality Students from more than 120 different countries make up 11% (that’s about 3,000) of the student body at Leibniz Universität Hannover. The successful ERASMUS program enables approx. 350 students from over 150 partner universities to study in Hannover each year. Faculties and institutes maintain cont- act to 1,100 scholarly institutions around the world. The most important countries for the exchange programms are the USA, Great Britain, South Corea, Poland, Spain, and France. The before mentioned attributes contribute to the international popularity of Leibniz Universität Hannover. Hanover Hannover is the Capital of Lower Saxony and is situated in Northwestern Germany. Hannover has a population of over half a million. It is a centre for studies and instructions as Leibniz Universität is just one of five universities in the city. This contri- butes to the young and lively atmosphere in the city. There are a lot of things to do in Hannover, the greenest bigger city in Germany: for example exploring the world famous Royal Gardens of Herrenhausen, a walk around the lake Maschsee, a hike in the urban forest „Eilenriede“, or a visit to numerous museums and galleries. Welcome to Leibniz Universität Hannover!

At our Summer Academy you can choose from 6 different courses:

Advanced German language course Language Intermediate Level I / II (B1/B2) 5th – 29th July, 2016

In this intensive language course with 5 hour classes daily, German is taught as a foreign language. It is designed for students with German B1 skills and better. The class’ topics are about life and culture in Germany. The students do grammatical and syntax exercises at an intermediate level, and expand their lexis.

On royal tracks in Hannover (applied geography) Intermediate Level II / Upper level (B2/C1) 5th – 29th July, 2016

In this language course German is taught as a foreign language. In applied geography, you will focus on the Welfen and state Capital of Hannover and its surroun-dings. Classes and projects are on historical and current topics of regional interest.

Study in Germany, DSH/ TestDAF preparation Intermediate Level II / Upper level (B2/C1) 3rd – 26th August, 2016

The course will prepare students for the language admis-sion test for German universities, and provides individual direct training on reading, hearing, writing skills, and grammatical structures. It is possible to take the DSH at Leibniz Universität Hanno-ver in the end of August.

German for Economics Intermediate Level II / Upper level (B2-C2) 3rd – 26th August, 2016

This course offers an introduction to specialised German for economics, especially for those studying business and management. The course introduces to relevant technical terminology, textual structures as well as necessary work techniques and strategies.

German for Science and Technology Intermediate Level II / Upper level (B2-C2)3rd – 26th August, 2016

This course offers an introduction to German for science and technology, and particularly for students studying civil, mechanical, industrial and electrical engineering, as well as physics. The course introduces you to related lexis and text structures, as well as required skills for working.

Intensive German course for beginners Beginners (A1/A2)3rd – 26th August, 2016

This is an intensive language course with 5 hour classes in German as foreign language daily. It is designed for students with no or limited German skills. The class’ topics include life and culture in Germany. The class provides an introduction to a basic German vocabulary, grammar and syntax.
