Based on the Solar Schools Programme

Operations:

• To construct a house from lego. • To place the house in the sun.

Actions Involved:

• To discover and explore the effects and usage of solar energy .

• To create a circuit using a solar panel/ battery, lightbulb, and wires.

• To compare and contrast the benefits and negative effects of using a battery and solar panels.

• To observe the effects of light on the solar panel/lights in the house.

Goals

• To illustrate the positive usage of solar panels and renewable energy.

• To recognise the sun as an energy source.

• To introduce renewable energy to the wider community through children relating concepts to friends and family.
