2017 DAY CAMPS Summer Tech at Murray State University For more information, visit http://bit.ly/summer_robotics_camp WeDo and WeDo 2.0 $140 WeDo The LEGO WeDo robotics system is designed for younger school aged campers who are able to listen well. Building robots using LEGO pieces along with specialized items such as motors, sensors, gears, and pulleys allow campers to then program their creations through the LEGO WeDo software. EV3 $140 This camp utilizes LEGO Mindstorms for Education programing software and EV3 Robots. This camp is designed for campers who have had previous experiences with LEGO Robotics and would like to use skills to design and build complex machines that accomplish specific tasks. Minecraft $120 Minecraft will be used in an educational setting to reinforce math, science, and social studies skills. Working as teams to complete various tasks, campers will learn the mechanics of Minecraft: Education Edition, forage for food, gather materials, and explore design concepts in a virtual community where the group survives against all Minecraft nature has to offer. (recommended for upcoming 6th graders & above) ( recommended for upcoming 2nd graders & above) (recommended for upcoming 1st - 3rd graders) WeDo 2.0 This camp builds on the WeDo camp and is designed for campers who have already attended the WeDo Camp. Campers use skills from the earlier camp to construct much more complex models and programs. The NXT robotics system uses an intelligent brick with its own central processing unit (CPU), memory, power supply, display panel and speaker. It incorporates interactive servo motors and input devices, including light, touch, motion, and sound sensors. Campers will build complex robots and learn how to direct the robot to complete complex tasks. NXT Robotics $140 ( recommended for upcoming 4th - 8th graders)
