Legal Tracking System Background The data pertaining to all legal cases was physically maintained in numerous files, with some limited data in excel sheets. There was difficulty in monitoring cases and also not much clarity existed regarding number of cases with each department, status of these cases and details of lawyers attending to these cases. Further the case related information was not consolidated at one place. As a result, crucial case related documents could not be traced urgently. This led to the thought of having all legal information at a central database in the servers, which could help management track all cases, monitor the work of the concerned officers and check the performance of the advocates handling the cases of the Corporation.
