A. May I ask what it is regarding?

B. Yes, it's about an accident that I had at work.

A. Let me just check if one of our lawyers are available, may I have your full name please.

B. Yes, it's ......................

A. Could you spell that for me.

B. Yes of course, my first name is spelt ........... And my surname is .......... That's spelt .......... .

A. Thank you I am just going to transfer you to our specialist injury lawyer, his name is Mr Thomas Robson.

B. Thank you

A. Hello good morning, Thomas Robson speaking.

A. Was the incident recorded?

B. Yes my manager recorded the incident in the health and safety file before while I waited for an ambulance.

A. Do you have a hospital report?

B. Yes, I have one from the accident and emergency department and another from the doctor who treated me.

A. How long have you been off work.

B. I have been off work for 4 weeks now.

A. Has your workplace admitted fault?

B. Well other than an apology, no.

A. Has your doctor suggested a date for you to return to work?

B. He suggested that I am to remain off work for the next 6 weeks.

A. Are you being paid for the time you have spent off work?

B. My manager suggested that they would like me back at work this week and that's 5 weeks earlier than expected.

A. Ok, based on what you have told me, in principle you have a case however I need more information to access your case. I will require you to come to my office with any paperwork that you have.

B. Will it be expensive.

A. My firm charges a 900 euro retainer before we take your case on, if you are awarded compensation we charge 15 percent commission on the amount you are awarded.

B. That sounds fair.

A. I am free tomorrow at 4pm if you are a available? 

B. Yes that's fine, I would like to see if I have a case as soon as possible.

A. I will transfer you back to reception and they will set up our appointment.

B. Thank you for your time
