Switch Chassis LEDsThe BCN, STS, and ENV LEDs are located on the left side of the front of the switch. The port LEDs areappear as triangles pointing up or down to the nearest port.
The operator has activated this LED to identify this module in the chassis.Flashing blueBCN
This module is not being identified.Off
The switch is operational.GreenSTS
The switch is booting up.Flashing amber
Temperature exceeds major alarm threshold.Flashing red
The switch is not receiving power.Off
Fans and power supply modules are operational.GreenENV
At least one fan or power supply module is not operating.Amber
Port is connected with a transceiver or other connector.Green(port)
Port is not connected.Amber

Uplink Module LEDsThe Status (STS) LED is located on the left side of the uplink module. There is an ACT LED located beloweach two uplink ports. Next to each ACT LED are two triangular port LEDs that point to the top or bottomto identify their port as being the top or bottom port.
Table 1: Uplink Module LED Descriptions
This module is operational.GreenSTS
Temperature is not operational.Red
The module is not receiving power.Off
The two ports above this LED are enabled. On (white)ACT
The two ports above this LED are not enabled.Off
The port is connected with a transceiver or other connector.Green(port)
The port is not connected.Off
Fan Module LEDsThe fan module LED is located below the air holes on the front of the module.
The fan module is operational.GreenSTS
The fan module is not operational (fan is probably not functional).Red
Fan module is not receiving power.Off
Power Supply LEDsThe power supply LEDs are located on the left front portion of the power supply. Combinations of states
indicated by the Okay ( ) and Fault ( ) LEDs indicate the status for the module as shown in the followingtable.

Status LED LED
Power supply is on and outputting power to the switch.OffGreen
Power supply is connected to a power source but not outputting power to theswitch—power supply might not be installed in the chassis.
Power supply is not receiving power.OffOff
Power supply warning—possibly one of the following conditions:
• High voltage
• High power
• Low voltage
• Power supply installed in chassis but not connected to a power source
• Slow power supply fan
Power supply failure—possibly one of the following conditions:
• Over voltage
• Over current
• Over temperature
• Power supply fan failure
