“How To” order LED LiteRibbon

STEP 1, COLORBegin by choosing from Warm-White (WW), Cool-White (CW), Red-Green-Blue (RGB), Red, Green, Blue, or Yellow.

STEP 2, INTENSITYNext decide how bright you need. LiteRibbon is available in Standard Output (SO), High Output (HO), and Very High Output (VHO)

STEP 3, LENGTHDetermine the length needed for your project. Diffused Silicone LiteRibbon is available in 1 meter lengths. All other types are 5 meters long and cuttable every 3 LED’s (1”-3” increments). Surface Mount LiteRibbon comes with a few “quick-on” connectors to be used when creating custom lengths. To calculate feet, divide by 3.28

STEP 4, POWERAll LiteRibbon must be powered by DC voltage between 7~12v. Each type of LiteRibbon has different power demands. Refer to the included chart for details. There are 2 types of power supplies available. There are supplies with a “fixed” voltage and supplies with variable-voltage that can optionally be used to “Dim” or ad-just the output intensity. Batteries can also be used such 8 alkaline cells (AA, C, D) or a 9-volt (for a small amount). 12v rechargeable NiMH Battery pack are also available. An automobile (cigarette) adapter is a great way to do car-shots.

STEP 5, CONTROLLiteRibbon can be controlled by any device capable of switching on or off 12VDC such as switches or relays. When dimming is necessary, a variable-voltage power supply can handle simple needs. Hand-held dimmers capable of being run from power supplies or batteries can be a small, convenient method of control. When using RGB LiteRibbon, multi-channel, DMX controlled dimmer packs allow for color mixing of up to millions of color options. DMX Controlled dimmer packs are available for sale or rent.
