SCYLINDER DIMMING COMPATIBILITY



• 0-10V DC low voltage dimmers operate using two low voltage dimming wires that are separate from the 120V or 277V AC power. The dimmer sends a variable output voltage to the fixture based upon the dimming level. 10V corresponds to undimmed operation, 5V to 50% and so on. Switching on/off is controlled with the line voltage power (120V or 277V AC) input to the dimmer and then dimming operation is controlled with the 0-10V DC low voltage wiring connection between the dimmer and the LED driver. The control signal runs on two low voltage control wires (color coded violet and gray).

Because LEDs operate at a lower current than traditional light sources, most LED luminaires must be powered by an LED driv-er. When selecting a driver, follow these steps:

1. Verify the appropriate current (typically 350mA or 700mA)2. Select a driver with enough usable wattage for the lumi-

naires you’ve selected.

ConTech LED Tapelight is dimmable utilizing either the TLPDIM10V Dimming Module or the TLPDIMWP Wall Mount Dimmer.

• The 0-10V Dimming Module (TLPDIM10V) is designed for use with commercially available 0-10V dimmers. 0-10V dimmers are commonly used for LED lighting systems due to their fine performance and reliability. Compatible with quality 0-10V dimmers, this module will dim down to 15%.
