From one label to another, Mouton Rothschild has thus brought together some of the most celebrated arsts of their day, including Miró, Chagall, Braque, Picasso, Tàpies, Bacon, Dali, Balthus, Koons and even Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales. June 17: Sylvia Gurinsky Page Turners: Historic Books about South Florida As you start your summer reading, join Sylvia Gurinsky for a look at 10 essenal books about South Florida's history. From accounts of early naves to recent events in the news, hear about the stories and some of the people who have told the . July 1: Rebecca Stanton-Reinstein, Ph.D. American Lion: Andrew Jackson in the White House Andrew Jackson ran a populous campaign in 1828, upseng his rival from an established polical family. Sound famil- iar? Recent news stories draw parallels to the elecon of 2016. But what are the facts, real similaries, and real differ- ences? We'll discuss the life lessons of a man who changed the nature of the presidency and ushered in a new polical party on the ashes of the old. July 15: Stephen Singer, J.D. History of the FBI Stephen Singer will enlighten you about the origins of the Federal Bureau of Invesgaon. Learn about the early days of the agency and their role during Prohibion and World War II through to today. How did the FBI evolve into its current configuraon. July 29: Marion Dolan, Ph.D. Exploring Jewish Arstry This fully-illustrated talk explores the extensive categories of art broadened by the outstanding work of Jewish arsts, from the medieval illuminated manuscripts of Jewish religious texts to the abstract painngs of Helen Frankenthaler and Lee Krasner, from the innovave photography of May Ray and the creave images of Annie Leibovitz. Observe how the field of painng was advanced by the creaons of Impressionist Camille Pissarro, the field of architecture by the fu- turisc buildings of Frank Gehry, and the field of sculpture by the expressive concepons of Anslem Kiefer and Frank Stella. August 12: Seth Bramson Florida and the Three Henrys Seth Bramson is greater Miami's foremost historian. Incredibly the three greatest names in the history of Florida were all Henrys! In this class, "Mr. F. E. C.," Florida East Coast Railway company historian Seth H. Bramson, will tell us all about the three Henrys, their great works and their lasng influence on Florida and it's glorious history.
