It helps us to identify strengths and weaknesses so that we can
develop an individual learning plan for you
We can put you on a learning programme that best suits your
individual needs.
Without a level checker:
- you might not get the correct help you need
- you may be working towards targets that are too high .
. or too low

Why complete a level checker?
For each of the programmes that you are about to do you will be
required to complete a skills checker or diagnostic for each one
This will enable your tutor to work with you and identify the courses that
you need to do to enable you to successfully achieve each of the
programmes of learning that you are completing with us
Skills checker & Diagnostics
Your learning Plan
• For each of the programmes that you do, you will have a learning plan
which you and your tutor will work together on to complete
• For each programme it will show your personal goals and how we,
your tutors, can help you achieve them by undertaking specific and
relevant courses.
• Together , you and your tutor will use your learning plan to show you
the progress you have made in each of the programmes to help you
successfully achieve each one
Each of your programmes is broken down into smaller courses. These are
short courses designed to improve your skills in the areas identified in
your diagnostics
The courses will improve your skills and demonstrate your level of
success.
Each course is allocated a time for you to complete.
Some of the courses will have written assignments that you will have to complete.
You will only do the learning you need and will not repeat any work you
have done previously.
Each of your programmes
Some of your programmes will require you to take a test
Before you take a test your tutor will ask you to complete a practice test
so that you and your tutor know that you are ready to take the actual
test for that programme of learning.
Don’t worry – your tutor will not expect you to complete a test until you
have completed all of the learning that you require
Tests
As part of your learning , both you and your tutor must confirm that each
section of the programme of learning has been completed. You will be
shown how to do this.
Please don’t forget to TICK YOUR OUTCOMES on the screen when you
have completed your courses.
Don’t worry we will remind you and show you again!
