We run training workshops and sessions both in person and online, so would be happy totrain you and/or our clients for whom you develop Joomla! websites.
Learn Joomla! workshops are run over one /two /three days, from 9am - 3pm eachday, in training venues throughout South Africa, Africa and beyond on demand.
Learn Joomla! Online: A basic orientation to Joomla! would be two hours, with amore thorough exploration taking four hours.
Our current training rate is R350/hour per trainee. Please find below the Learn Joomla!outline that will provide you with a comprehensive orientation to Joomla!

Next Workshop: You set the date - we can generally deliver training in youroffice, within one week following full payment for the course(s)
End-Users (beginner) 9am - 3 pm
Learn the intermediate principles needed to administer your ownJoomla! website(s). This course is designed for anyone with basiccomputer skills who want to get a dynamic web site up and runningfast. By the end of the day you will have started to use a Joomla!web site, be able to add news, events, documents, links, users,content pages, media and understand how to make the most of yourJoomla! powered website. (maximum 10 per class).
The course will cover the following topics;
• Introduction to Open Source Software and Joomla!• Intro to Joomla! site structure & Google search• How To: Edit content using various WYSIWYG editor• How To: Load media and insert it into content• How To: Plan content with your visitors in mind• How To: Set keywords & descriptions• How To: Create image galleries• How To: Share documents for download• How To: Create events to attract visitors
• Tips: Harnessing the power of collaboration• Tips: Search Engine Strategies to ensure a first page ranking
• Q & A Session - come prepared to ask all your questions about Joomla! websitemanagement
• Suggest a topic that you would like to know more about

Administrators (intermediate) 9am - 3 pm
Learn the intermediate principles needed to administeryour own Joomla! website(s). By the end of the day youwill have installed, managed & extended a Joomla! websiteincluding an extended features such as a newsletter,members directory, discussion forum or a documentrepository.(maximum 10 per class).
The course will cover the following topics;
• How To: Set up a stand alone server for testing offline• How To: Populate transfer content from an existing website(s) / Word / Excel
documents• How To: Find, select and install a template• How To: Find, select & install extensions (modules, components & mambots)• How To: Backup & Restore your Joomla! website• How To: Promote a newly developed website to your market
• Tips: Securing your Joomla! website against malicious hackers• Tips: Communication Strategies to sustain site interaction amongst colleagues• Tips: Capitalising on commercial extensions
• Q & A Session - come prepared to ask all your questions about Joomla!Administration and Management

Developers (advanced) 9am - 3 pm
Learn the advanced principles needed to developyour own Joomla! websites. By the end of the dayyou will have installed, created & extended yourown Joomla! website including advanced, complexfeatures such as a newsletter, members directory,discussion forum, document downloads and more.(maximum 5 per class).
The course will cover the following topics;
• Setting up a Joomla! Stand Alone server (for offline Joomla development)• How To: Install Joomla! onto a server incl. an actual installation• How To: Find and customize Joomla! templates incl. an actual customisation• How To: Select & install Joomla! extensions (modules, components & mambots)• How To: Backup & Recover your Joomla! website• How To: Handover a newly developed website to the end user
• Tips: Securing your Joomla! website against malicious hackers• Tips: Search Engine Strategies to ensure a first page ranking• Tips: Capitalising on custom joomla components
