Enable POP in Yahoo

* Before starting the configuration process to set up Yahoo with Outlook, make sure that:

* POP is enabled in Yahoo Account.

* If not, login to your Yahoo account >> Roll your mouse over Settings icon and click on Settings.

Cont...* After clicking on Settings, a new window will appear.* Select Accounts and scroll the window.* Under Access your Yahoo Mail elsewhere section, enable the POP option and click on Save button.

Outlook Steps To Add Yahoo* After enabling POP in Yahoo, open Microsoft Outlook.* Click on File Tab >> Add Account.

Cont...* A new window will appear, select Manually configure server settings or additional server types and click on Next twice.

Cont...* Fill all the required details in the blank fields.

Cont...* After filling the details, click on Test Account Settings.

Error Occurred while Configuring Yahoo Account

* If this error occurred (as shown in screen shot), then be sure that you are inputting right port number and authentications.

Cont...* After doing the changes, click on More Settings.

Cont...Click on Outgoing Server tab, check the option My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication and click on OK.

Cont...* Click on Advanced tab, verify the port no:

* Incoming server (POP3) : 995 (SSL)

* This server requires an encrypted connection(SSL) option must be checked.

* Outgoing server (SMTP): 465 (SSL – encrypted connection)* Click on OK.

Cont...* After doing the changes, click on Next.

Cont...* A pop-up window will open and will show a message that All tests

completed successfully. Now click on Close button to continue.
