If you want to get better at taking photos, then I suggest you

carry on doing what you’re probably doing already – taking

pictures of your friends. They’re a great subject. Some people

only take pictures when they go somewhere – you know,

castles, palaces and things. And this is a shame. I’ve seen lots of

photos of nice scenery – well, the thing is, it’s hard to make

them interesting.1 You see them, and you just think ‘So what?’

And whether you take pictures every day, or just now and then,

you should look at them and get rid of any you’re unhappy

with.2 There are lots of photography courses you can do if you

want, but at the end of the day, it’s down to you to train

yourself to take better pictures3… to try and take a better

picture next time.

Work as a Photographer (2)

(sometimes but not often)

E.g. Every now and again/then they'll have a beer together.

3. … , but at the end of the day, it’s ….

(something that you say before you give the most important fact of a situation)

E.g. Of course I'll listen to what she has to say but at the end of the day, it's my decision.
