She was exposed to Lean Six Sigma as part of Quality Consulting and again more directly when she held the position of Head of Group Operations at CIMB responsible for driving cost efficiency and quality improvement.

The 2015 American Society for Quality (ASQ) Edwards medallist has been actively carrying outOperational/Business Excellence Strategy for more than 18 years. He is the first recipient from the Asian region to be awarded this prestigious medal since 1963. Azman was recognized for hisoutstanding leadership in the application of modern quality control methods. With the background of aviation engineering, he is an American Society for Quality (ASQ) certified Six Sigma Black Belt and is a certified Master Black Belt from Lean Applied an ASQ affiliate service provider. He has actively driven Lean Six Sigma and Innovation with various organizations such as General Electrics, Lufthansa Technik, Petronas Berhad, Maybank, Malaysian Airport Berhad and at present in Sime Darby plantations as the Head of Operational Excellence.
