• Is not an acronym• Term was first used by Hirotaka Takeuchi and Ikujiro
Nonaka in 1986 whitepaper "New New Product Development Game".
• Co-creators : Jeff Sutherland and Ken Schwaber• Is an Agile, lightweight framework• Embraces Empirical Process control• Three (3) Pillars:
• Published: The Scrum Guide in 2009 (5th Edition in 2017)• Scrum Values were added in Jul, 2016.• Certified Scrum accreditation: Scrum Alliance, Scrum.org• Scaling Scrum Frameworks: LeSS, SAFe, Nexus, Scrum
of Scrums, Scrum @ Scale.
